In the Round
Round bags are having a bit of a moment. I wouldn’t say they’re classic enough to become a wardrobe staple but if you’re looking to add a bit of a twist to your outfit this autumn, then full circle could be the way to go.
I’ve rounded up (sorry) a few of the best so you don’t have to.
Best Round bags to buy right now
Are you a fan of this look? I quite like round bags I’ve got to admit but I don’t think I would use one enough to justify a purchase. Saying that, I think a wristlet or black crossbody would be perfect for the upcoming party season for a twist on the usual go-to sequins or sparkle. That’s what December is all about, after all. That and the search for the perfect mince pie.
I do like the nod to traditional hat boxes with a modern twist. Mulberry have some gorgeous shades like this stunning gold ochre and dark amethyst in croc print if you’re looking to invest.
Anya Hindmarch also showcased round bags in her SS18 collection at London Fashion Week:
I would probably go out wearing more clothes than in the second look, but I do love the small gold circle bag very much.
Ha, maybe I’m warming to this trend already?
For a cheaper way into round bags then head to Topshop, where you can snaffle this lovely red leather number (ticking the box for the colour of the season, too) for just £29.
Zara have also got an affordable black circle bag, which again, is only £29.99.
Have I got you convinced? Don’t be square, I’ll see you round… (again, apologies).
